SCGE 2010 Summer courses Computational Geo-Ecology
The Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED), University of Amsterdam is organizing two weeks of summer courses for post-graduate students:
- Animal Movement Analysis (5 July - 9 July 2010)
- Geo-ecological Data Analysis (12 July - 16 July 2010)
These are independent summer courses, but your might also consider registering for both.
Registration and target groups: The courses are targeted at young scientists at the MSc and PhD levels, with a background in ecology, however other researchers interested in attending are welcome to register. The courses are limited to a maximum of 35 participants. In case of too many applications, candidates will be selected according to the following criteria a) scientific motivation and research topic(s), b) time of application, c) geographic distribution. The registration fee for this course is € 150,- (registration, course material and welcome dinner). In addition, participants can make use of the UvA student accommodation for € 300,-. The accommodation is close to both the city centre and the course venue in the new building of the UvA Science Faculty.
