Scientific Field Trip:
- Tuscany: Siena 27-28 May 2010
- The field trip will be organized in three days, with the following draft program:
26 May, (17.00)
- start from Rome with a Bus, direction Brolio Site (Siena Chianti hills).
- Lunch in Brolio area
- Dinner and Night nearby Brolio
27 May,
- morning: visit to the experimental fields in Brolio in which the CRA-ABP is carrying out some soil investigations with both proximal sensors and remote sensing image on soil-crop (vineyards) relations.
- Visit of Vine Factory “Castello di Brolio”.
- afternoon: site stop in Montagnola Senese Area, and discussion about a) digital soil mapping of both soils and quaternary paleosoils; b) 3D reconstruction of pedostratigraphic levels supporting the quaternary geological map of the area
- Dinner and Night in Siena
